Covid-19 : 2 new positive cases on Tuesday 2nd November

Two new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded on Tuesday 2nd November.

This brings the Principality’s total coronavirus cases since the beginning of the health crisis to 3,418.

This evening, eight patients, are being treated at Princess Grace Hospital : six people, three of whom are residents, are provided in-patient care; two other patients, none of whome is a resident, are in intensive care. 

The total number of people who have recovered to 3,351.

This Tuesday evening, 21 people are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-Up Centre, which offers medical support to those with minor symptoms who are asked to self-isolate at home.

In accordance with the practices adopted by the World Health Organization and neighbouring countries in this area, this daily update reports coronavirus cases among residents only.

The Prince’s Government is also releasing figures relating to testing. These figures include data up to Sunday 31 October inclusive.

  • Number of tests carried out on residents and non-residents between 25/10 and 31/10 inclusive: 3,815 PCR and antigen tests.
  • Positivity rate of tests carried out on residents and non-residents: 1.02%.
  • Incidence rate, i.e. the number of positive tests per 100,000 people over the past seven days: 70.40 (80.83.97 last week).
