CORONAVIRUS: No New Positive Cases Were Identified in Monaco this Thursday

For the fourth consecutive day, no new positive cases of COVID-19 were identified on Thursday 16 April.

The overall health figures for the Principality therefore remain at 93 people affected by the Coronavirus.  It has been announced that a further three people, compared to yesterday, have recovered.

This brings the total number of patients who have now recovered to 15.

Eight people are receiving treatment in hospital, two of whom are in intensive care.

It should be noted that the people tested and hospitalised are not all residents in the Principality.

In accordance with the principle adopted by the health authorities in the Principality of Monaco, only patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms are being hospitalised.

People with mild symptoms are asked to self-isolate at home while being medically monitored.  To date, 101 patients are being monitored by the Home Patient Follow-up Centre.

The aim of this approach is to avoid overburdening hospitals and to care for these patients in the city in a way that is efficient and comfortable for them.

The Prince's Government thanks and wishes to express its full support for every Monegasque and every resident in these exceptional times, which require compliance with the precautionary health measures and travel restrictions.
