On Tuesday 10 September 2019, Serge Telle, the Principality’s Minister of State, Charles Ange Ginesy, President of the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, Jean-Claude Guibal, President of the French Riviera Conurbation Community, and Blaise Rapior, Director General of the ESCOTA Network at VINCI Autoroutes, signed the funding agreement for the construction of the new slip road for the single-exit interchange at Beausoleil (see attachment).

Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development, and Yoann Toubhans, Deputy Prefect of Nice-Montagne, also attended the ceremony.

In his speech, Serge Telle emphasised that: “This project involves cooperation which is both technical and political, administrative and financial. It has been remarkably efficient since the signature of our framework agreement in January 2017, and even before.”

The exit slip road, which will take a year to complete, will create a new service road offering access to the Principality, reduce the number of cars passing through La Turbie and help to keep traffic moving along the A500 motorway and through the Monaco tunnel.

This regional development initiative, costing EUR 6.06 million, is being jointly funded by the Prince’s Government, the Alpes-Maritimes Departmental Council, the French Riviera Conurbation Community and the Escota Network/VINCI Autoroutes.
