H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince visits port construction site in Ventimiglia
Accompanied by the Minister of State, several other government ministers, the President of the National Council and the Mayor of Monaco, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince paid a visit to Cala del Forte port in Ventimiglia on Tuesday 3 September, where he was welcomed by Gaetano Scullino, the Mayor of Ventimiglia, and saw for himself that the main structural work is now complete.
During the visit, Aleco Keusseoglou, CEO of Monaco Ports, noted that the Cala del Forte complex would include 178 berths, ranging from 6 to 70 metres, around 500 parking spaces, 15,000 square metres of walkways and gardens, a boatyard and 3,800 square metres of commercial space. He added that maritime construction work was expected to be complete by the end of the year, allowing boats to moor, with final delivery scheduled for spring 2020.
Through the Société d’Exploitation des Ports de Monaco (SEPM), the Principality acquired the concession to operate this new marina in 2016. It will expand opportunities for vessels to moor near the Principality.
