Given the global health crisis, this year’s final secondary school examinations assigned significant weight to continuous assessment and the average marks achieved by pupils during the first two terms of the academic year, in line with decisions taken by the French Republic to address the circumstances.

The excellent results achieved in 2020 demonstrate once again the commitment shown by the entire educational community in the Principality’s secondary schools, both state-run and private schools operating under contract.

The unwavering professionalism and great dedication of both teaching and non-teaching staff were decisive factors in supporting all pupils throughout the school year, and particularly during lockdown.

The Principality’s BTS (vocational further education diploma) students achieved perfect results, with 100% of candidates from Lycée Albert I (BTS Assistant Manager and Management Accounting) and Monaco’s Vocational and Catering School (BTS Hotel and Catering Management) passing their examinations.

The Prince’s Government offers its sincerest congratulations to all those who passed their examinations in 2020 on their incredible performance.

Finally, the Government would like to thank the Department of Education, Youth and Sport for having implemented, throughout this unusual academic year, the measures required to maintain continuity of learning for the Principality’s secondary school pupils and students, and enable them to achieve success.
