H.E. Ms Marie-Pascale Boisson, Monaco’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, presented her credentials to President Xi Jinping

On 24 April 2023, H.E. Ms Marie-Pascale Boisson, Monaco’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, presented her credentials to President Xi Jinping.

Following the ceremony, held in the heart of Beijing in the Great Hall of the People, the seat of the government and an iconic building which is used for meetings of the legislature, President Xi Jinping gave a speech to all of the ambassadors accredited on the same day.

The President asked the ambassadors to pass on his cordial greetings and best wishes to their heads of state, and then assured them that they would have China’s support in performing their duties.

In his speech, the Chinese head of state stressed his country’s commitment to peaceful development and remaining open to the world. He expressed China’s determination to deepen and extend mutual cooperation with other nations on the basis of equality and reciprocal benefits.

The President concluded by stating that China was ready to work with the international community to promote the implementation of initiatives on global security and development, and to jointly tackle the various challenges facing the planet.
