Discussions with young people about violence against women
As part of International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, the Minister of State, Pierre DARTOUT, hosted 12th grade students from the Principality’s three high schools at his official residence, where they met representatives from Monegasque institutions and member associations of the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights.
A little earlier in the morning, the Minister of State had visited the Lycée Albert 1er accompanied by fellow Ministers Ms Isabelle BERRO-AMADEI and Mr Patrice CELLARIO, to raise awareness among the pupils about the importance of this issue. The discussions, organised by the Committee for the Promotion and Protection of Women’s Rights in collaboration with the Department of Education, Youth and Sport, were also attended by professionals from the Department of Social Welfare and Social Services, the Police Department, and the Victims Help Association (AVIP), which provide support to the victims of domestic violence on a daily basis.
