The Cordon d'Or in the Digital Age
A high-quality partnership between the Prince's Government and the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque.
Today, Patrice Cellario, Minister of Interior, accompanied by Isabelle Bonnal, Director of Education, Youth and Sport, was host to Étienne Franzi, President of the Compagnie Monégasque de Banque (CMB) at Monaco's Vocational and Catering School (Lycée Technique et Hôtelier de Monaco), to celebrate a new partnership at a convivial event.
For several months, the training restaurant at Monaco's Vocational and Catering School has been equipped with 16 IPad Air tablet computers - an innovative and more efficient way of taking orders, which ensures the best possible service for the many clients of the Cordon d'Or.
These innovative digital devices enable students involved in waiting to take clients' orders quickly and accurately. Thanks to these new technological tools, orders are instantly transmitted to the kitchen, where the dishes are prepared immediately. This new procedure considerably reduces the time taken to note clients' requests, prepare the dishes ordered and serve them efficiently in the restaurant, as is the case in the professional world.
This was an opportunity for Jean-Marc Deoriti, Principal of the LTHM, to present the benefits for LTHM students of introducing new technologies in their educational and professional practices to the various stakeholders present.
