Department of Education, Youth and Sport renews agreement with Turquois Foundation
The Turquois Foundation and the Department of Education, Youth and Sport have strengthened their shared commitment to young people by signing a renewed partnership agreement. This key event took place at Lycée Rainier III on Monday 20 January 2025, following a Mexican lunch prepared by trainees from the Turquois Foundation’s 43rd cohort.
The Turquois Foundation and the Department of Education, Youth and Sport have been working together for many years to offer young Mexicans outstanding training opportunities in the hospitality industry. It is a partnership based on shared values of commitment, mentoring, communication and excellence.
Under the leadership of Mr Claude Boéri, the Turquois Foundation is doing remarkable work to support the young Mexican trainees. While in the Principality, the students benefit from supervision that aims to:
• Encourage excellence in the work and in the service provided;
• Promote a sense of openness;
• Foster a determination to do one’s best.
Lycée Rainier III, the partner school for the agreement, plays a vital role in hosting and training the Mexican students. The establishment, which specialises in training for the hospitality industry, offers these talented young people high-quality educational support, allowing them to work towards a promising future in sectors with good employment potential, often at the international level.
The Turquois Foundation’s 43rd cohort, who have been training since September 2024, includes ten Mexican students, seven female and three male. With some specialising in cookery and others in pastry, the students prepared the Mexican lunch that was served during the signing ceremony, supervised by the chefs and teachers who have been supporting them since they arrived. It was an opportunity for sharing and celebration that demonstrates perfectly the values of mentorship and excellence promoted by the Turquois Foundation and the Principality of Monaco.
