Mission for Energy Transition and waste reduction: vote for the best Monegasque initiative!
The Mission for Energy Transition (MTE) will soon be holding its annual conference with the theme A Zero-Waste Lifestyle?
With this in mind, the MTE contacted some 20 Monegasque organisations who are very committed to their energy transition, and got them to share the eco-friendly projects that they are working on.
For the first time, the MTE decided to ask signatories of the National Energy Transition Pact to vote for their favourite projects.
The three projects which receive the most votes will be rewarded at the MTE annual conference.
How to vote:
From today until the evening of Sunday 2 May, you can vote for your favourite project based on the following criteria: waste reduction / innovation / economic value added / replicability.
It couldn’t be simpler:
1) Make sure you have signed the National Pact and created your account (if you haven’t yet done so, note that signing up takes less than five minutes via https://pacte-coachcarbone.mc/ ).
2) Then go to the Initiatives page to find out more details about the 19 ambitious and surprising projects.
3) Finally, go to the Challenges and Surveys page to vote for the project which appeals to you the most! (Please note: just one vote per signatory; anyone can view the initiatives).
Your opinion counts, so let us know what you think!
It’s worth remembering that waste is at the heart of Monaco’s energy transition challenge, as it accounts for a third of domestic CO2 emissions.
It’s no longer just about sorting and recycling waste, the challenge is to be found upstream. We need to considerably reduce the amount of waste that we generate, find alternatives to single-use materials, give items a second lease of life and transform them into resources as part of a circular economy.
