Working Meeting on Unemployment Insurance
The Ministry of Health and Social Affairs held an information meeting, in the presence of representatives from the Monaco Social Security Funds, on the reform of unemployment insurance in France and its implications for the Principality.
The Federation of Monegasque Businesses and the Monaco Union of Trade Unions, which historically have been social partners of the texts to extend unemployment insurance agreements to the territory of the Principality, were invited to this meeting.
A French decree of 26 July 2019 repealed the current Unemployment Insurance Agreement as from 1 November 2019, and set out new provisions.
In this context, the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs has been working with its French counterpart to ensure the continuity of care for workers who have become unemployed, taking Monaco's specificities into account.
Letters will be exchanged shortly to confirm this agreement.
