Monaco Cloud services accredited, a major step forward for the Sovereign Cloud
Just a few months after H.S.H. Prince Albert II launched the first State Sovereign Cloud in Europe, Monaco Cloud services have recently been accredited in accordance with the methodology recommended by the Monaco Cyber Security Agency, the national authority responsible for the security of information systems.
Established as part of the Principality’s digital transformation programme, Extended Monaco, the aim of the Sovereign Cloud is to host the majority of the State’s applications and data and, naturally, to be a leader in the private sector, while guaranteeing the highest global security standards.
By becoming the first and only accredited cloud operator in the Principality, Monaco Cloud is positioning itself as a strategic pillar of Monaco’s economic development, as well as a genuine factor in the country’s attractiveness. It will be able to offer all of its clients the same security and sovereignty guarantees that are provided for the Government’s most sensitive systems.
“Monaco Cloud is meeting the commitments made to the Sovereign nearly a year ago. With the success of this latest step achieved by Monaco Cloud, Monaco is definitively breaking free of its geographic constraints and offering Monegasque businesses a competitive cloud. That is why I am inviting all Monegasque businesses to take advantage of the solutions delivered by our local operator,” H.E. Mr Pierre Dartout, Minister of State, was pleased to note.
Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Officer for Attractiveness and the Digital Transition, added: “Thanks to Monaco Cloud, the Prince’s Government will be able to migrate all of its applications, as will businesses seeking to establish themselves in the Principality. We will now be offering them all of the digital infrastructure they need for their development. Beyond the state sector, Monaco Cloud is a powerful driver of economic growth and attractiveness for the Principality.”
