Easing the Lockdown: Checks at the Monegasque Border
Since Monday morning, checks have been carried out at the border between France and the Principality of Monaco due to the gradual easing of the lockdown in Monaco, which has an effect on motor traffic.
The aim of the Police Department is to ensure that the only motorists entering the Principality's territory are those who need to make this journey.
Officers are therefore checking that motorists coming from France can show proof of their need for business travel.
To reduce the impact of these checks on traffic and reduce waiting time for motorists, drivers are asked to have their ID ready and display proof of their need for business travel visibly behind the windscreen of their vehicle.
