A new type of ‘priority for disabled people’ card to make everyday life a little bit easier
During the presentation of the Handipact plan, the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs unveiled a new ‘priority for disabled people’ card, which is now available.
Designed to make everyday life and travel easier for disabled people, the ‘priority for disabled people’ card gives priority access to seats on public transport, in waiting areas and lounges, and at public establishments and events.
This new card provides a host of benefits:
- With a logo that's easier to spot and recognise, cardholders can quickly confirm their status whenever they need to.
- The logo and English text make the card widely understood, so it's suitable for use overseas.
- Made just like a credit card, it's very durable.
The earlier version of these cards is still valid. The new card will be issued by the Department of Social Welfare and Social Services at your request or when your current card expires.
