Polish delegation pays working visit to Monaco
A delegation of Polish entrepreneurs and representatives from the Coalition for Polish Innovation paid a working visit to Monaco on 6 and 7 May. The visit, arranged by the Monaco Economic Board (MEB), follows the organisation during October 2018 of a “Monaco Day in Warsaw” by the Monegasque Embassy in Poland, in partnership with Monaco’s Honorary Consul in Warsaw.
The Polish delegation was welcomed by H.E. Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Monaco’s Ambassador to Poland, and Mr Guillaume Rose, Chief Executive Officer of the MEB, and over the course of the two-day visit attended various presentations given by representatives* from the Prince’s Government, the MEB, MonacoTech and four of the start-ups supported by the MonacoTech programme.
Discussions focused on the Monegasque economy, the development of the Smart City, and new financial technologies (FinTech).
During a lunch at the Yacht Club de Monaco given by Monaco’s Ambassador to Poland, the Polish delegation had an opportunity to talk to Laurence Garino, Director of the Monaco Welcome & Business Office, and Alain Ucari, Secretary to the Board of the Monaco Association for Financial Activities (AMAF).
The working visit concluded with a tour of the Monaco Scientific Centre led by Dr Hervé Raps from the Department of Medical Biology.
