The DTC's Promotional Tour in Ukraine
As part of its international promotional campaigns, Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority (DTC) and its hotel partners, the Méridien Beach Plaza and the Fairmont Monte-Carlo, were in Ukraine, Kiev and then Dnipro (formerly Dniepropetrovsk) from 27 February to 1 March 2017.
As a priority, the Monegasque tourism delegation had the opportunity to showcase the Principality's advantages to tourism professionals, travel agents and tour operators, with a focus on new innovations: the CHPG's Check-Up Unit and medical tourism and well-being in general, and, as concerns more leisurely activities, the "Dinner in the Sky" planned for the month of June in Monaco and the next Formula E Grand Prix, which will take place on 13 May. The delegation met with more than a hundred professionals, who showed great interest in the topics presented.
Similarly, on 27 February, a delightful evening event was held at the "Art Ukraine Gallery" in Kiev, attended by prestigious guests – business heads, celebrities and opinion leaders – who were very interested to find out about Monaco and are potential high-end clients. H.E. Ms. Dumont, the Ambassador of France in Kiev, came to meet the Monegasque delegation and discuss possible future collaboration with regard to Ukraine.
These varied promotional activities came to a close on 1 March in Dnipro, Ukraine's fourth largest city by number of inhabitants and a major industrial and economic centre.
Ukraine is already ranked twelfth in terms of arrivals to the Principality and represents a clientele that is important for tourism in Monaco, as well as real potential for progress.
