The Principality is Now Fully Google Compatible

The news was expected and is now confirmed - from this week, Monegasque Internet users have access to all on-line Google services on the Google Play store.

Launched in 2012, Google Play is a multimedia platform offering games, films, applications, TV shows and books.  It is used by more than 2 billion people around the world.

This announcement is a continuation of the relations built between the Principality and leaders of the digital industry within the framework of the "Extended Monaco" programme, as supported by H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during His visit to Google's headquarters in California last year.

There are many options for users of the Android operating system in the Principality.  These include the Stadia gaming platform, geolocation sharing on Google Maps and increased storage capabilities on Gmail and Google Drive.

"We are delighted that we are finally able to offer the population of the Principality the full range of Google services.  Monaco is now treated in the same way as the major countries and markets prioritised by Google.  This is a positive step forward for Monegasque residents", declared Frédéric Genta, Country Chief Digital Officer.
