Meditation and Diplomacy with Miriam Belov at the Permanent Mission of Monaco to the United Nations
On 16 January 2019, Ms. Miriam Belov, founder of the "Wellness Agenda" and "Creative Concentration," gave a presentation on the theme of "Mindfulness, Diplomacy, Meditation: Exploring ways to reduce stress, overcome helplessness and find calm" at the Permanent Mission of the Principality of Monaco to the UN in New York.
Miriam Belov, a graduate of Brown University, has been working in the field of health and well-being for 35 years. She has collaborated with prestigious beauty brands, such as Estée Lauder and Shiseido USA, and has contributed to television and radio programmes on NBC, News 12 and Lifetime.
After the broadcast of an audio clip of Princess Grace reciting William Shakespeare's Sonnet 54, and having been enlightened on the four major causes of modern stress (personal, professional, technological and environmental), the guests followed a meditation session.
Permanent Representatives and journalists accredited to the United Nations, as well as members of the Hospitality Committee for the United Nations and friends of Monaco, took part in this presentation.
Among those present were the PRs of Albania, Andorra, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Monaco, Poland, Rwanda, Slovenia and Turkmenistan; the wives of the PRs of Israel, Tunisia and Ukraine, a representative of the OIF, the President and Vice-President of the Dag Hammarskjöld Fund for Journalists, and Ms. Miriam Belov.
