Diplomacy – Accreditation of Ambassadors - Djibouti - Ecuador
On Thursday 21 April 2016, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation received H.E. Mr. Ayeid Mousseid Yahya,* Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Djibouti, and H.E. Ms. Maria de la Paz Donoso,** Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ecuador, who presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during the morning.
An official lunch was held at the Hôtel Hermitage, presided over by Ms. Isabelle Rosabrunetto, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation.
* After studying for an arts degree in France, H.E. Mr.Ayeid Mousseid Yahya began his diplomatic career in 1995. He was appointed Counsellor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of the Republic of Djibouti. In 2005, he became Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to the Government of Cuba in Residence in New York. Then he served successively as Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to Cuba in Residence in Havana, then Ambassador of the Republic of Djibouti to Brazil. In 2014, he was appointed Ambassador to France.
** Ms. Maria de la Paz Donoso is a graduate of the Catholic Pontifical University of Ecuador, the University of Oxford and the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences in Quito. She is a lawyer and also holds a higher diploma in Foreign Policy. She joined the diplomatic service of the Embassy of Ecuador in 1985 following a public competition and on merit, and rose through the ranks before being appointed Ambassador of Ecuador to France in 2015.
