Reading Marathon - Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation
The Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation has just launched its Reading Marathon, organised in connection with the Literary Awards. This activity is an opportunity for lovers of contemporary literature to familiarise themselves with the authors shortlisted by the Literary Council for the 2016 Literary Award and Discovery Grant.
At its session on 4 May 2016, the Literary Council shortlisted the following authors for the Literary Award:
ADONIS – Charles Dantzig – Michel DEL CASTILLO
Denis TILLINAC – Michel TREMBLAY
The following were shortlisted for the Discovery Grant:

Julien DONADILLE, Vie et œuvre de Constantin Eröd, (The Life and Work of Constantin Eröd), Grasset, 2016

Pascal MANOUKIAN, Les échoués (Stranded), Don Quichotte Editions, 2015
Garance MEILLON, Une famille normale (A Normal Family), Fayard, 2016

All these works are available in the libraries in Monaco and on the Côte d'Azur that are taking part in the Reading Marathon.
Pupils from two Year 9 classes and one Year 10 class from the Collège Charles III will also be taking part in the Marathon, under the guidance of their Literature teachers.
The winners of the Prince Pierre Foundation Awards will be announced on Tuesday 4 October 2016.
