The fifth PropTech[i] Symposium was held on 10 March 2025, backed by the Prince's Government, in collaboration with the Monaco Economic Board (MEB), the ESCP Business School and various industry trade groups. The event brought renowned experts from the real estate and technology sectors together to explore the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the real estate sector with Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, currently acting as Minister of State, among those present.

Under the theme ‘PropTech: Reinventing the Future of Real Estate’, the symposium, organised by the Digital Economy Unit[ii] , part of the Interministerial Delegation for Digital Transition, offered a unique, in-depth look at transformative innovations, tackling strategic issues, new economic models and practical uses of AI in the real estate sector.

Ahead of the conference, around thirty local experts and investors based in the Principality had an exclusive chance to mingle with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and panellists. This satellite event to the institutional conference was organised in partnership with the Government Attractiveness Department and the Monaco Private Label network.

A line-up of noteworthy speakers

Keynote speaker Dominique Alba, Managing Director of Ateliers Jean Nouvel, got the symposium underway by discussing the integration of AI in architectural and urban design.

This was followed by a series of talks from a panel of experts, who shared their views on the future of technology and AI in real estate:

  • Ana Lozano Portillo, Managing Director Nidus Lab – Automation and generative AI in real estate design.
  • Brice Vandevoorde, Managing Director of Realiz – The new economic models driven by tokenisation and AI.
  • Jaime Luque, Professor at ESCP Business School – Analysis of market trends and the impact of technology on real estate
  • Anas Bataw, Partner at Zacua Ventures and consultant for the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund ($937 billion in assets) – Harnessing AI to optimise productivity and sustainability in urban development.

The discussions were moderated by Thierry Cherel, Director of Natixis CIB Research, and led by Geneviève Berti, Director of Communication for the Prince's Government.

 A partnership of academic excellence

The Government of Monaco and the ESCP Business School have been eagerly collaborating since 2019 within the framework of the Real Estate Tech Chair, inaugurated in Paris in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince. This partnership has given rise to remarkable initiatives, such as the PropTech Global Trends Barometer, a benchmark publication spearheaded by the Digital Economy Unit, which highlights the emerging trends that are shaping the future of real estate technologies. The 2024 edition, which premiered at the fifth PropTech Symposium, is now available on the Monaco for Businesses website, eme.gouv.mc .

An event that sparks new alliances and opportunities

The symposium was rounded off with a networking session, which allowed participants to share their experiences and forge new working relationships.

With its cutting-edge programme featuring renowned experts and attracting 150 professionals from within the sector, the PropTech Symposium 2025 has cemented its place as the benchmark event for exploring shifts in the real estate market amid the rise of artificial intelligence.

It should be noted that this event pursues three key objectives in line with the Monaco for Business programme:

  • Highlighting the annual release of the PropTech Global Trends Barometer.
  • Providing industry professionals support in implementing best digital practices within their field.
  • Boosting Monaco's appeal to tech companies specialising in real estate and construction (known as ‘PropTech’). An industry worth $634 trillion, with growth of 13.6% in 2024 and €47.94 billion raised.
