Finance and sustainable development the key topics at a conference with Bpifrance
On 19 September 2022, the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the French Public Investment Bank Bpifrance held a conference in Monaco on the theme of potential interaction between finance and sustainable development.
Following an introduction by the Minister, Mr Jean Castellini, and Ms Anne-Sophie Marin (Head of ESG at Bpifrance), a number of financial asset managers presented solutions that are both innovative and concrete, having already been implemented. These private equity initiatives include, for example, linking performance and income directly to environmental issues (as is the case with the firms “TILT Capital”, “KARTESIA” and “CANDRIAM”). They also involve selecting and promoting cutting-edge technologies, to find concrete solutions for the energy transition and the fight against climate change (“JOLT Capital” and “CAPRICORN”).
Financial institutions and local investors in attendance at the conference found the participant’s presentations highly interesting. The event demonstrated the financial sector’s strong commitment to sustainable investment, and the close attention paid to this issue in the Principality.
