Monaco takes part in the 29th Plenary of the Egmont Group
The Service d’Information et de Contrôle des Circuits Financiers (SICCFIN), the Principality’s financial intelligence Unit (FIU), took part in the 29th Plenary of the Egmont Group, held from 3 to 7 July this year in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
The Egmont Group is an international organisation whose role is to combat money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation (AML/CTF-P). To this end, it provides training courses and mechanisms aimed at strengthening cooperation between FIUs at the global level.
During this year’s Plenary, the Monegasque delegation, led by Mr Geoffrey Vasseur (Head of the Strategic Analysis Division), Mr Stéphane Puppo (IT Manager), and Ms Ghizlaine Dadyou (Analyst and IT Project Manager), received an “Egmont Group certificate of appreciation” in recognition of the contributions made by Monaco’s FIU to the work of the Egmont Group.
