The reopening of ‘Handiplage’ on Larvotto Beach until 3 September 2023
The Government of Monaco and the Soroptimist Club have been in partnership for 18 years, offering ‘Handiplage’ services on Larvotto Beach. Once again, people with reduced mobility or disabilities can enjoy the beach free of charge, 7 days a week, from 10am to 5pm, until 3 September.
There are floating wheelchairs available and a team of 'Handiplagists' on duty to assist with swimming.
Those travelling by car are entitled to a free 3-hour parking pass, valid in the Larvotto car park (which has 8 disabled parking spaces and accessible pay stations).
There are lifts adapted to give access from the upper promenade, and access to the beach is via a gently sloping ramp.
