Isabelle Berro-Amadei gives New Year address to diplomatic and consular corps in Monaco

Isabelle Berro-Amadei, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, delivered her New Year address to the diplomatic and consular corps in Monaco on 23 January, in the Salon Excelsior at the Hotel Hermitage.

“Your role is vital in developing and strengthening the relationships based on trust and friendship that exist between our countries. A friendship built on diversity, tolerance and dialogue,” Isabelle Berro-Amadeï said in her introduction.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation pointed out that in 2024, the Principality has diplomatic relations with 157 countries and that 134 foreign embassies are accredited there.

Isabelle Berro-Amadeï concluded by setting the course for 2024. “At the heart of H.S.H. the Prince’s foreign policy is an unwavering commitment to protect the environment and the ocean, vulnerable populations, health, sustainable development, and to uphold international law in the interest of peace. This will serve us again this year as inspiration for the accomplishment of our missions.”
