50th anniversary of Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation

The Literary Council of the Prince Pierre of Monaco Foundation met at Le Grand Véfour in Paris to draw up the list of authors in contention for the Literary Prize, which honours a renowned writer in the French language for their entire body of work. The jury selected:

 

ADONIS

Charles DANTZIG

Michel DEL CASTILLO

Denis TILLINAC

Michel TREMBLAY

 

The following were also shortlisted for the Discovery Grant, a prize which rewards an author in the French language for a debut work of fiction:

 

Stéphane BARSACQ - Le piano dans l’éducation des jeunes filles, Albin Michel, January 2016

 

Julien DONADILLE - Vie et œuvre de Constantin Eröd, Grasset, January 2016

 

Paul GRÉVEILLAC - Les âmes rouges, Gallimard, January 2016

 

Pascal MANOUKIAN - Les échoués, Don Quichotte éditions, August 2015

 

Garance MEILLON - Une famille normale, Fayard, January 2016

 

Séverine WERBA - Appartenir, Fayard, August 2015

 

All of these works will be included in the Reading Marathon, which will be launched on Wednesday 15 June at the Multimedia Library of Monaco.

 

The winners of the Literary Prize and the Discovery Grant will be announced in Monaco on 4 October.
