Positive Results for the Summer Opening of the Larvotto Seaside Resort
The Larvotto seaside resort was accessible to the public as planned from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 13 September. "This beach was able to open this summer thanks to the wish of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince and the efforts of the workers who continued their activity on the only public construction site to open during the lockdown, in compliance with health measures" emphasised Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development.
She added, "The average number of visitors per day was 2,600, i.e. a total of approximately 160,000 users, which proves how right we were in predicting the pleasure that Monegasques and residents would have in returning to high quality, accessible and convivial public spaces after the lockdown."
The summer will continue for a few weeks at the solarium on the sea wall, where a kiosk and deckchairs have been installed on a temporary basis until the end of October.
As regards the Larvotto site, renovation work is still ongoing, with the aim of fully opening the beach and shops in the summer of 202 1.
