On Monday 20 June, the Digital Transition Office met with members of Kenya’s National Registration Bureau (NRB). The Bureau, which is part of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security of this East African country, showed a keen interest in Monaco’s pioneering approach to digital identity and sovereignty.

During the session with IN Groupe, the Prince’s Government’s technology partner for the roll-out of sovereign digital identity within the country, and the senior NRB officials, Julien Dejanovic, Director of Digital Services, and Marine Rolando, Manager of the e-Government Unit, presented the specific features and excellence of the Principality of Monaco’s digital services, made possible thanks to digital identity. This sovereign infrastructure was launched just a year ago for all nationals and residents.

The discussions with the Kenyan Government focused on several issues: the legal framework and Act No. 1.482 of 17 December 2019 for a digital Principality , compliance with the highest international security standards, the technological solution MConnect and the first available use cases for the population, including MonGuichet.mc , the one-stop portal for online public services in Monaco.
