Monaco takes part in the 26th session of the Council of Europe Standing Conference of Ministers of Education

On 28 and 29 September 2023, H.E. Mr Gabriel Revel, Ambassador and Monaco’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe, took part in the 26th session of the Council of Europe Standing Conference of Ministers of Education held in Strasbourg on the theme “Learners First”.

All Member States of the Council of Europe as well as the European Union, the United States, Japan, Mexico and the Holy See took part in the event.

This Conference was an opportunity to launch the new Council of Europe Education Strategy 2024-2030 based on three pillars: renewing the democratic and civic mission of education; enhancing the social responsibility and responsiveness of education; and advancing education through a human-rights based digital transformation.

It was also decided at this Conference to launch a European Year of Digital Citizenship Education in 2025 in the 46 Member States.
