Minister of State represents Monaco at European Political Community Summit in Budapest, Hungary
H.E. Mr Didier Guillaume led the Monegasque delegation* to the 5th European Political Community Summit in Budapest (Hungary) on 7 November 2024.
As with previous summits, this high-level meeting aimed to promote dialogue between European partners on the security challenges facing Europe, and to strengthen cohesion and cooperation.
More than 40 heads of state and government, the presidents of the European parliament, the European Council and the European Commission, the Secretaries General of NATO and the Council of Europe, and representatives from the OSCE took part in discussions and round tables focused more specifically on issues relating to migration and economic security.
On his arrival, the Minister of State was welcomed by the Hungarian Prime Minister Mr Viktor Orbán, and was able to engage in informal discussions with numerous European heads of state and government throughout the day. H.E. Mr Didier Guillaume also had the opportunity to hold several bilateral meetings: with the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, the Prime Minister of Croatia and the heads of government of Andorra and San Marino, during which a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed.
On the margins of the summit, Ms Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, was invited alongside some of her peers to a working meeting chaired by Mr Péter Szijjártó, the Hungarian Foreign Minister.
The next European Political Community Summit will be held in Tirana (Albania) during the first half of 2025.
