Inauguration of the renovated Police Department building
A ceremony to inaugurate the newly renovated Police Department building was held this morning in its VIP room under the chairmanship of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince, and in the presence of H.E. the Minister of State, Pierre DARTOUT, Minister of the Interior Patrice Cellario, Police Commissioner, Richard Marangoni, the general staff of the Police Department, and senior officials in the Principality.
The building was blessed by Father Julien Gollino, the Police Department’s Chaplain, followed by a visit of the building’s main premises, including the Monitoring and Operational Command Centre and the laboratory of the Forensics section.
The Police Commissioner recalled the highlights of 2023 and all of the Principality’s security statistics.
The General Staff then discussed activities in each division and recalled the major achievements and key figures in their field of action.
Lastly, Mr Marangoni offered his sincere thanks to all the men and women in uniform and the civil and administrative staff that make up the Monegasque police force.
The event was followed by an enjoyable reception.
