A Focus on Financing Higher Education Studies and Student Accommodation

As part of activities carried out by the Department of Education, Youth and Sport to provide information for high-school pupils and students, a new "Focus" day was held at the premises of the Academic Counselling and Education Resource Centre (CIEN) on Saturday 18 March 2017.

For the third consecutive year, this event on the theme of "Financing Higher Education Studies and Student Accommodation" was an opportunity for the CIEN and the Student Grant Section to draw on their knowledge to answer questions from pupils and students in the Principality as fully as possible.

Information was also provided on the new "student loan assistance" scheme for Monegasque students, in addition to study grants, to finance a higher education course or diploma course in the country in which it is delivered.

This event was particularly appreciated by the young people and their families and enabled thirty or so visitors to benefit from practical information on grants for higher education and student accommodation.

At this event, information leaflets on how the various types of financial help provided by the Government of Monaco are allocated, as well as on the conditions for admission and accommodation at the Monaco Foundation at the Cité Internationale Universitaire in Paris (CIUP), were given to the visitors.

This information day therefore brings the 2016/2017 "Focus on Higher Education" programme to a close.  This programme is an integral part of the framework of action for post-Baccalaureate guidance for high school pupils and students in the Principality, on which the Prince's Government places great importance.
