The Principality Joins the Governing Body of the European Energy Award
In November 2014, the Principality of Monaco's Climate and Energy Plan was officially awarded the European Energy Award (EEA) label for a period of four years. This label recognises the Principality's commitment to the quality of the implementation of its Climate and Energy Plan in Monaco.
To deepen its commitment to this approach, the Principality has recently joined the new governing body of the EEA as a decision-making member of the EEA Forum, alongside France, Germany, Austria and Luxembourg, thus consolidating the promotion of its ambitious climate policy.
The Department of the Environment, which is responsible for implementing the Climate and Energy Plan for the Principality of Monaco, is present at the Annual Assembly of the European Energy Award, which is taking place in Lucerne, Switzerland. This event is an opportunity to bring together all the decision-making members of the EEA label. The General Assembly of the EEA Forum will also be held as a side event of this meeting.
