The tunnel lighting upgrade campaign launched on 10 July continues in September with two new phases.

Two areas are affected: the tunnels under the Rocher and the tunnel linking the Saint Roman interchange to the Boulevard du Ténao.

The first stage of the campaign under the Rocher is coming to an end, and the next stage will go ahead as planned on 4 September 2023, exclusively at night, from Monday to Saturday between 9pm and 5.30am, leaving the following route available to users:

- To get to Fontvieille: access via the Liaison Marquet
- To exit Fontvieille: leave via the Liaison Marquet and the tunnel under the Rocher to the Boulevard Albert 1er.

All access roads are open to traffic during the day.

As a reminder, in a bid to protect the environment and combat the ageing of equipment such as fluorescent and sodium lamps, the government has launched a campaign to install LED lights in place of the 1,340 fluorescent tubes and high-pressure sodium lamps that are currently installed in the seven tunnels that make up the under the Rocher tunnel network.

In the Saint Roman Tunnel, Boulevard du Ténao, 234 fluorescent tubes and high-pressure sodium lamps will be replaced from 8 September to 20 October 2023, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 4pm.

To limit disruption, work will be carried out during the day with alternating traffic flow, with two-way traffic restored outside working hours. The "MONABIKE" station will be unavailable during the works.
