International Volunteers of Monaco

Within the context of its international cooperation effort, the Prince’s Government, in 2007, created the Monegasque International Volunteer Solidarity programme (VIM).

The VIM programme satisfies two objectives:

  • It offers young adults the opportunity to go away and gain some professional humanitarian experience in a well supervised environment
  • It strengthens field work which is taking place, in cooperation with local partners

Xavier, International Volunteer of Monaco, assistant for the health/nutrition programme in Madagascar, which is led by PAM

It is aimed at young people between the ages of 21 to 35 who have a higher education or technical education degree and who have at least one year of professional experience (internship, project, job etc.) as well as experience abroad.

This is a long term volunteer programme: one year, which may be extended to a maximum of three years.

The volunteers are posted to local partners in the Coopération monégasque target countries of Monaco’s Official Development Assistance in order to deal with a specific need.

One call for applications per available position is published in the Journal Officiel de Monaco and provides information concerning the application procedure.
