Diplomacy – Accreditations United Arab Emirates – Malta – Japan – Moldova

On Wednesday 12 October 2016, at a lunch held at the Hôtel Hermitage, Ms. Isabelle Rosabrunetto, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, received H.E. Mr. Maadhad Hareb Meghair Jaber Alkhyeli, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates;  H.E. Mr. Umberto Di Capua, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta;  H.E. Mr. Masato Kitera, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan and H.E. Mr. Lilian Moraru, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Moldova, who presented their Letters of Credence to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince during the morning.

A graduate of the Zayed II Military College, H.E. Mr.Maadhad Hareb Meghair Jaber Alkhyeli entered the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, United Kingdom, in 1977.  He became a trainer at the Armed Forces Institutions and was then appointed, successively, Staff Officer, Commander of the Special Forces, Commander of the Zayed II Military College and Head of Operations of the Armed Forces.

H.E. Mr. Umberto Di Capua is a graduate in Electrical Engineering.  For several years, he was the Director of leading Italian companies making electrical equipment and automobile parts and specialising in electrical engineering.  In 2000, he was appointed President of Sviluppo Italia S.p.a., a company promoting and developing entrepreneurship and employment in disadvantaged regions of Southern Italy.  In 2002 he acquired Elettronica Aster, of which he became President.  He was appointed Ambassador to Bulgaria in 2005.

H.E. Mr. Masato Kitera joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) in 1976, where he became private secretary to the Head of Cabinet before being appointed Ambassador of Japan to Thailand.  In 2000, he was promoted to Director of the Financial Affairs Division.  He then joined the Embassy of Japan in France before occupying the post of Director General for Sub-Saharan African Affairs and then of the International Cooperation Bureau.  In 2012, he was appointed Ambassador of Japan to China.

A specialist in international law, H.E. Mr. Lilian Moraru began his diplomatic career at the MFA, where he held the posts of Head of the Consular Law Unit, Head of Regional Cooperation, Head of the European Legislation Unit and Deputy Director.  He has held various posts at the Embassy of Moldova in Israel, Belgium and France.
