To mark the 8th World Circus Day, on 15 April, the organisers of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival have unveiled the poster for the 42nd Festival, which will take place from 18 to 28 January 2018.  The poster was designed by Alain André, aka Petit Gougou;  it pays homage to the circus and celebrates its 250th anniversary.

This day, which was founded in 2010 by the World Circus Federation, under the Honorary Presidency of H.S.H. Princess Stephanie, is held on the 3rd Saturday of April, and pays tribute to the circus arts.  Several hundred events in more than 50 countries are featured on the programme.
