The traditional press conference to present the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters was held at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort on Thursday 15 February. The event will take place from 6 to 14 April 2024 on the legendary clay courts of the Monte-Carlo Country Club under the presidency of Mélanie-Antoinette de Massy.

Tournament Director David Massey unveiled the new features of this 117th tournament to the many guests present at the press conference, including Patrice Cellario, Minister of the Interior, Andrea Gaudenzi, Chairman of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), partners and journalists.

The Tournament Director presented figures and results from the 2023 event, which attracted over 140,000 visitors, 38.4 million viewers and 167.1 million views on social media. He also spoke about new things at the 2024 tournament: the launch of a ‘click and collect’ fast food service; changes to the sea-side stands at the Rainier III court to create additional boxes; the creation of a new covered dining area; a new partnership with France Télévisions to broadcast one match daily on the france.tv platform and the final on France 4, in addition to all the matches being broadcast on Eurosport France.

David Massey also announced that the Tournament would once again provide support to the Groupement des Entreprises Monégasques dans la Lutte contre le Cancer (GEMLUC), an association that funds cancer research and cutting-edge equipment.

On the subject of players, he said that “the definitive list will be announced on 12 March at a press conference in Paris”. Nearly 130,000 tickets have already been sold, and given Jannik Sinner’s recent victory at the Australian Open, another large turn-out for Italian fans is a safe bet.

Organised by the Société Monégasque pour l’Exploitation du Tournoi de Tennis (SMETT), the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters is the first clay court Masters 1000 tournament of the season, and in a way, kicks off the summer season in Côte d'Azur.

The draw will take place on 5 April at 6 pm and be broadcast live on Monaco Info and the Facebook page of the network and the tournament.
