On Friday 14 September, the Consulate of Canada in Monaco was inaugurated in the presence, among others, of Mr. Jacques Boisson, Secretary of State, H.E. Ms. Isabelle Hudon, Ambassador of Canada, H.E. Ms. Marine de Carné-Trécesson, Ambassador of France to Monaco, and H.E. Mr. Cristiano Gallo, Ambassador of Italy to Monaco.

This was an important event for both countries, which have maintained diplomatic relations for 10 years.

Ms. Caroline Pratte, Honorary Consul of Canada, will focus on enhancing the link between Monaco and Canada and providing support to Canadians who reside in Monaco.

The quality of relations between the Principality and Canada is excellent, fostered by a common interest in environmental and climate issues, as well as in La Francophonie and international development.

Canada is the 89th country to be represented in Monaco by an active Consulate.
