Postponement of the National Brevet Diploma (Diplôme National du Brevet) Examinations

The Prince's Government informs Year 10 (3^ème) pupils and their parents that the National Brevet Diploma (Diplôme National du Brevet) examinations will take place on Monday 1 and Tuesday 2 July 2019 instead of Thursday 27 and Friday 28 June 2019.

The order of the examinations remains unchanged.

Pupils and teachers will receive new letters of convocation from Wednesday 26 June 2019.

This measure follows the decision of the Government of the French Republic to postpone these examinations because of the intense heat wave that has been announced, to guarantee the safety of Year 10 secondary school pupils.

The Department of Education, Youth and Sport and the heads of the schools concerned are working together to ensure that the postponement of these examinations takes place in the best possible conditions and to provide the necessary information to pupils, their parents and staff.

The Prince's Government also confirms that the other examinations that are scheduled for the week of 24 to 28 June 2019 will take place as usual, in particular the French oral examinations for the Baccalaureate.
