“Focus on higher education”: post-bac goals

The Department of Education, Youth and Sport continues to step up its work on helping secondary school pupils to make plans for their futures after their baccalaureate examinations.

The Academic Counselling and Education Resource Centre (CIEN) is a preferred partner, which offers support for careers education activities by providing information for pupils at the Principality’s schools.

The CIEN welcomes young people and their families throughout the year, and helps them to develop their plans for further education and training.

Special “Focus on...” sessions held on Saturdays are providing an extra boost to this effort.

On Saturday 26 February, the focus will be on admission to higher education, featuring:

- Guidance and tips on how to use the Parcoursup platform

- General advice on post-baccalaureate options

Pupils and their families will be able to access personal advice from careers guidance specialists.

On Saturday 26 March, the theme will be student life: finance, housing and life skills.

Registration for these events is required; please call CIEN on 98 98 87 63.
