The 2nd Energy Transition Press Events, organised by the Mission for Energy Transition (MTE), were held yesterday at the Ministry of State, in the presence of Marie-Pierre Gramaglia, Minister of Public Works, the Environment and Urban Development.

These meetings follow on from the wish expressed jointly by H.E. the Minister of State and Marie‑Pierre Gramaglia to showcase different contributors to the Principality’s energy transition on a quarterly basis.

At this meeting, the three main aspects of energy transition were addressed by various speakers, who gave a presentation to the press of the activities they are undertaking on a daily basis with regard to energy transition:

  • The aspect of "waste," with the installation in the city of "bi-flow" sorting baskets (selective sorting and waste) by the Department of Urban Amenities, and the Cliiink (glass sorting) competition, which has been introduced in schools in Monaco;
  • The aspect of "mobility," with the MC Bike2Work Association, which aims to promote safe travel, among colleagues, to and from work by bicycle;
  • That of "energy," with improved energy efficiency in establishments thanks to the SMART+ scheme (an intelligent meter that makes it possible to optimise energy use) and, in particular, the example of the Monte-Carlo Bay.

Each speech was followed by a question and answer session with the media.

This report will be available from today on Monaco Info, the Government's social networks and the MTE's Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/MTEMonaco/ ).
