Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority on Tour in Southern Italy
The staff of Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority's (DTC's) representative office in Italy have just returned to Milan after a week of promotional activities in the cities of Naples and Palermo.
The delegation for this tour was comprised of Mr. Guy Antognelli, Deputy Director of the Tourist and Convention Authority, Ms. Laurence Aquilina, Marketing Manager for the Western Europe and American Markets, and partners of the Monte-Carlo Casino, as well as Monaco's diplomatic contacts in Italy.
During the promotional tour in these Italian cities, two audiences were targeted in particular – tourism professionals and VIP clients.
Thus, on 17 and 18 October, the Monegasque delegation met with the main travel agencies in Palermo. In addition to the meetings with tourism professionals, travel agencies and consultants, a hundred or so guests were invited to an evening at the Grand Hotel Piazza Borsa on 18 October.
Entitled the "MONTE-CARLO SICILY NIGHT," this evening event, organised jointly by Mr. Emanuele Bruno, Honorary Consul of Monaco in Palermo, and the DTC, took place in the presence of H.E. Mr. Robert Fillon, Ambassador of Monaco to Italy. The representative of the Monte-Carlo Casino, Mr. Massimo Michelis, undertook promotional activities for the occasion.
On the following two days, the same format was extended to Naples. From now on, it will therefore be easier for tourism professionals to promote "Destination Monaco" to their clients. The MONTE-CARLO FLOWER PARTY, organised by the DTC and the Honorary Consul of Monaco in Naples, took place on 20 October at the Union Club of Naples, once again in the presence of H.E. Mr. Robert Fillon. Five hundred carefully selected guests were present to celebrate Monaco, further strengthening the links with one of the destinations that is most appreciated by wealthy clients from southern Italy.
