The international organisation Peace & Sport and the Tour de France organised "Ride for Peace", a bike parade held along the route of the 21st stage of the Tour de France 2024 on the morning before the final time trial stage.

This event fully reflected the values of peace and inclusion promoted by Peace and Sport and involved around forty champions for peace, top athletes and influential personalities invited by the NGO.

The participants, dressed in white to symbolise the values of sport and in a nod to the iconic #WhiteCard event organised by Peace and Sport to mark the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, sped off along the route, accompanied by the Palace Guards and in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, to highlight the work of the NGO.

Background Information: Peace and Sport is an international, neutral, and independent organisation based in Monaco that promotes peace through the power of sport. Founded in 2007 by Joël Bouzou, Olympic medallist and World Champion in the modern pentathlon, Peace and Sport operates under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco, calling upon international leaders to impart the values of peace through sport's universality and by leaning on the NGO's Champions for Peace network and its actively committed supporters.
Recognising that athletes can make a difference in society, Peace and Sport created the Champions for Peace Club in 2009, a group of over 120 athletes from around forty nations across five continents. Role models, heroes, and a source of inspiration for young people throughout the world, these athletes devote their time, experience, and platforms to projects that tackle social, economic, and educational issues through sports.
