Establishment of first Ambassadors’ Club for business tourism in Romania
The network of Monaco’s business tourism ambassadors in Italy now extends beyond the Italian peninsula.
A new club was established in Romania on 25 April 2017, in the presence of H.E. Mr Robert Fillon, Monaco’s Ambassador to Romania, Mr Sergio Faleschini, Monaco’s Consul in Romania, Mr Guillaume Rose, Director of the Principality’s Tourist and Convention Authority, Mr Gianmarco Albani, Manager of the Business Tourism Clubs project, and Mr Antonio Verga Falzacappa, coordinator of the clubs in Italy and Vice President of the Business Tourism Ambassadors’ Group.
The new club’s members include 15 prominent Romanian personalities representing a range of sectors: the legal professions, the aerospace industry, medicine and surgery, sport, etc.
Business tourism ambassadors are networks of personalities able to act as advocates for hosting professional congresses and meetings in the Principality or, more broadly, scheduling prestigious events. These have been a marked success in terms of participation and visibility for the Principality, and as such are set to develop further in the near future.
