On Thursday 13 February, as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, the Committee for Graduate Employment held a day at the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco devoted to activities to promote the future careers of young people in Monaco.

In the morning, Employment Panels were held on the theme of "Energy Transition and Sustainable Development - All the Professions Concerned."  Presentations on entrepreneurship, careers in energy and innovation and those involved in energy transition were given to more than 150 high school students from Monaco.  The 18 speakers who addressed this young audience included Alexis Lanari (Thoody Consulting), Marion Soler (Actis), Marcel Ravin (Monte Carlo Bay) and Annabelle Jaeger-Seydoux (Mission for Energy Transition).

The main aim of these panels is to enable high school students to meet inspiring professionals who present their vision of the world of work and encourage them to take energy transition and sustainable development into account in their future projects.

The Committee for Graduate Employment then met to present its 2019 activity report and decide upon the actions to be undertaken for the year 2020.

Finally, this anniversary day came to a close with a cocktail party, which took place in the presence of many dignitaries, representatives of partner companies, students and young graduates.

In his speech, Didier Gamerdinger, Minister of Health and Social Affairs emphasised that "The Committee informs our young people about the professions of the future, in order to meet the forthcoming needs of the Principality and ensure that our companies can find the skills they will need tomorrow."

Since it was first created in 2010, on the initiative of Stéphane Valeri, who was then Minister of Health and Social Affairs, the Committee for Graduate Employment has been responsible for facilitating access to working life for young Monegasque graduates and those with connections to the Principality.  It develops links with companies in Monaco and acts at an early stage to inform young people of the sectors that offer employment opportunities in the Principality and support them in their career choices.

Almost 200 partner companies work with the Committee to support young people in their search for employment, and 1,310 have been helped since it was founded.
