HERCULIS EBS – WEDNESDAY 10 AUGUST 2022: Fraser-Pryce and Holloway coming to Rocher

On 10 August, the Herculis EBS Meeting will offer athletics fans a reminder of the highlights of the World Championships in Eugene. The organisers have just confirmed that the event will feature two huge stars of athletics and very recent world champions: Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Grant Holloway.

The Herculis EBS Meeting is popular with athletes thanks to the Louis II Stadium track, the weather conditions, the competition on offer and the atmosphere of the event... And this year’s edition on 10 August should be no exception.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is one of the icons of world sprinting, with five world titles over 100 metres, including the most recent in Eugene a few days ago. Leading this year’s world rankings for the 100 metres with a time of 10.67 seconds, which she has already achieved three times this season, “Mommy Rocket” stands head and shoulders above her opponents. Running the 100 metres in Monaco, the Jamaican will have her sights set on the meeting record of 10.72 seconds, held by Marion Jones since 1998.

In the 110 metre hurdles, Grant Holloway is establishing an outstanding record of achievement: he holds the world record for the 60 metre hurdles and is a two-time world champion in the 110 metre hurdles, for which he has set the second fastest time in history (12.81 seconds in 2021), behind his fellow countryman Aries Merritt. In Monaco, where the track is considered to be fast, he will be thinking about the meeting record (12.93 seconds in 2012), held by... Aries Merritt. Stay tuned!
