The building sector is a model of prosperity in the Principality that offers real job and career opportunities at all levels of qualification and responsibility.

Government Minister Christophe Robino met with the members of the Construction Sector Employers’ Chamber at the Ministry of State today, where he was presented with the first training course catalogue developed by the newly created Caisse de Formation du Bâtiment (CFB), a construction-sector training fund.

The catalogue includes training in first aid, occupational safety and the use of industry-specific software.

A grant was awarded during the meeting by the Prince’s Government to encourage this positive initiative on the part of the profession.

Christophe Robino said: “Employee training is the future. I am convinced that vocational training must be developed. It is a long-term investment. The Caisse de Formation du Bâtiment initiative is an excellent way to promote employment in the Principality”.

Fabien Deplanche, Chairman of the Construction Sector Employers’ Chamber, pointed out: “We are certain that investing in training will consolidate the foundation on which the excellence of our professions is built. It will also help build a solid and prosperous future for all, in partnership with young people. Capitalizing on training is, without a doubt, a visionary strategy.”

For Nicolas Gentelle, Chairman of the CFB, “this catalogue of training courses is a way for the CFB to build the skills of construction sector employees in an ongoing effort to promote excellence and professionalize our industry”.

Questions about the training courses can be directed to the Caisse de Formation du Bâtiment on (+377) 97 70 68 16
