#8MarsMonaco campaign
Chief Officer for Women’s Rights and Technical Advisor Céline Cottalorda this morning unveiled a work of photography displayed on the facade of the Ministry of State as part of International Women’s Day celebrations. The artist, Anthony Alberti (also known as Mr One Teas), was present for the unveiling.
The work, which comprises 76 black-and-white portraits, showcases all of the women and men who are involved in the Women’s Rights Committee in Monaco.
“I was very keen to shine a light on the women and men of the Committee, and also on those I’ve met who have supported us since the Committee was established,” Céline Cottalorda explains.
Partners of the campaign and personalities representing Monegasque institutions were involved, thereby showing their support for efforts to build a gender-balanced world, the theme for International Women’s Day this year.
Those photographed were invited to choose a slate, each of which bore one of the following inscriptions: Together, 8 March, United, Rights, Fight, Equality, Respect, Women.
H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince agreed to take part in the initiative, along with H.E. the Minister of State, the President of the National Council, the Mayor of Monaco and government ministers, all of whom were keen to contribute to the success of the #8MarsMonaco (#8MarchMonaco) campaign.
“My goal is to raise some genuine smiles from those who have chosen the values they want to represent,” said the artist.
In a bid to reach a wide audience, the photographs have been shared using a variety of media: in the press, on Monaco Info and via the Prince’s Government’s social media accounts using the hashtag #8MarsMonaco.
