National simplified weapons surrender scheme - 25/03/2024 to 05/04/2024

The Police Department is organising a simplified weapons surrender drive.

Illegally owned weapons in the country are sometimes acquired as the result of an inheritance or simply found and kept; most often without knowledge of the legalities of owning these weapons.

Often stored without taking particular care, or even forgotten, these weapons create a risk of domestic accidents (involving children in particular) and, if stolen during a burglary, can be used in criminal networks.

This operation allows honest holders of such weapons to easily dispose of them. 

Dispose of any weapons between 25/03/2024 and 29/03/2024 by booking an appointment:
